The perfect class for girls ages 7-10 who love to braid. This class will provide them with the foundations of braiding. It is the ideal introduction into their braiding journey!

What to Expect at Teen Braid Camp

A two-day braiding camp where teens learn step-by-step techniques, practice hands-on, and grow in skill and confidence.

Registration for March 2026 Teen Braid Camp opens January 25th.

  • Teen Braid Camp is designed for teens who want to learn braiding from the basics up, whether they’re brand new or looking to strengthen their skills. Teen Braid Camp is beginner-friendly!

  • Students will learn the following skills:

    • How to properly braid

    • How to cornrow

    • Parting skills

    • Advanced braiding skills (knotless, soft locs, and feed-in/stitch braiding)

    • Entrepreneurial skills

  • Teen Braid Camp is a two-day experience with structured lessons and guided practice each day.

  • Students receive the following items:

    • Braider’s Kit

    • Mannequin

    • Braid Camp Box

    • T-shirt

    • Lunch & snacks

  • Camp is led by a classroom teacher and experienced braider, Nekaybaw Brooks, ensuring instruction is structured, supportive, and effective.
